The Bears prioritize community engagement through a variety of activities: Supermarket Fundraisers: We organize donation collections at supermarkets to support our club financially while also raising awareness about our mission. School Taster Sessions: These sessions aim to introduce students to disability sports in a fun and interactive way, encouraging participation and inclusivity. Corporate Team-Building Events: Our events cater to companies seeking unique experiences. We offer motivational talks and wheelchair skills training, followed by friendly games, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. Social Gatherings: In addition to training and matches, we host social events to strengthen bonds within the club. An annual awards ceremony acknowledges the efforts and achievements of team members. Family Fun Days: We arrange informal gatherings with a variety of activities for children to enjoy, providing opportunities for families to connect and have fun together away from the court.

COMMUNITY

COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING
The main form of fundraising that the Bears conduct throughout the year. Both in and out of season, is done through bag packing events. This provides an opportunity for players and coaches to get out into the community, meet and chat with members of the public and raise awareness for disability sport. It is also an excellent opportunity to raise funds, which are injected into the club in the form of funding items such as new kit, new playing chairs and sports hall hire.

SCHOOL EVENTS
The Bears organize various school events. Events can be customized in partnership with the school's management team and Junior coach. These options include focusing on wheelchair basketball basics, informative talks on disability and sports.

SOCIAL EVENTS
Within the club we try to extend activities to create a social aspect alongside the sport. We have fun days, end of season awards and away days to places such as the lake district to promote socialising outside the court to increase development and unity.
